Event Details

Ali Algermozi is an entrepreneur and business graduate from Saint Mary’s University in Halifax, Canada. He was born in Yemen and raised in Halifax, where he pursued various avenues of work, including networking systems and operating a yoga studio, before joining the Sobey School of Business. He found that Saint Mary’s culture of giving back resonated with him, and he became actively involved in extracurricular activities and community involvement.

Algermozi’s passion for entrepreneurship started when he co-founded a small yoga business on the Halifax waterfront. This experience fueled his interest in commerce, and he ultimately graduated with a triple major in entrepreneurship, marketing, and human resource management. After working as a small business advisor at Scotiabank, Algermozi returned home to Yemen when the war was worsening to be with his family. It was during this time that he found his next big project, the family farm.
