Building on this strong track record of helping launch new businesses, and with the generous support of the university’s donors and supporters, the Saint Mary’s University Entrepreneurship Centre (SMUEC) is preparing to move into its new home in the Sobeys Inspiration Hub.

Highlighted Programs

RBC

Talent Hub

Through co-operative education and internship placements, training, Entrepreneurial Mindset Success Certificate, and an Entrepreneur-in-Residence program, the RBC Talent Hub is an answer to our students’ requests for additional hands-on learning opportunities. The skills developed through this program aim to give students a leg up in the job hunt and help them to excel in the workplace post-graduation.

ADaPT

Advanced Digital and Professional Training (ADaPT) is a skills development and work placement program that bridges the employment gap for final semester students and post-secondary graduates. ADaPT Atlantic is a joint collaboration between Toronto Metropolitan University’s Diversity Institute and Saint Mary’s University.

Digitization Program

Arthur L. Irving Entrepreneurship Centre has partnered with Atlantic Canada Opportunities Agency (ACOA) to modernize digital assets for cutting edge Atlantic Canadian companies to help the region thrive in a virtual ecosystem.

ACOA’s support means we can offer projects subsidized at 75% of the total project cost up to a maximum project value of $5,000 for companies operating in certain sectors. Some restrictions apply so please contact us to learn more

The Spark Zone

Ignition Program

The Sandbox Ignition program is a 10-week program that will provide students with access to training, resources, entrepreneurial ecosystems, and opportunities to engage with mentors already in the industry

Employment Program

Options Youth

Options Youth is a employment wage subsidy program funded by Service Canada and facilitated by the Saint Mary’s University Entrepreneurship Centre and Enactus Saint Mary’s. The program consist of personalized skill training and  paid work placements to help Nova Scotian youth overcome barriers to enter the workforce.

The program consist of two stream: Stream 1: Work Training & Stream 2: Work Ready
